Restoration Tram Warehouse
The former tram warehouse, a historical brick building presumably dating back to 1880, was fully restored and repurposed as offices. This way, a anchor location in Westmalle’s village center was revived with respect for the existing architecture. Blank walls at the street side were equipped with contemporary steel windows and existing gates were also replaced by steel windows.
The building testifies of the past as a stop- and warehouse for the tram, and is now a new polished pearl of industrial architecture in Malle. And so the story of Malle’s history goes on.
